Choco (“we”, “our”, “us”) provides a social chat app to help users connect.

Information We Collect (current version)

• Account (Google Sign-In): name, email, and a Google account identifier for authentication. We do not import your Google Photos. Your in-app avatar is assigned by our system.
• Profile you provide: display name, date of birth (18+ check), gender, country, and optional short bio.
• Content: text messages you send in chats (no image or voice messages in this version).
• Device & logs: basic technical data (e.g., IP address, device/OS, error logs) for security and troubleshooting.
• Location: approximate and precise location (when you grant permission) to enable the Radar screen and location-based features.
• Advertising ID & device identifiers: collected by the Google Mobile Ads SDK to show and measure ads.

How We Use Information

• Authenticate you and provide the core features (profile, matching, text chat).
• Safety & anti-abuse (e.g., spam/fraud prevention, moderation), troubleshooting, and improving reliability.
• Legal compliance and enforcing our Terms.
• Serve ads and measure their performance via Google AdMob.
• Provide radar / nearby features using your location.

We do not use your data for targeted advertising in the current version.

Sharing

We do not sell personal data. We share information with service providers strictly to operate the app (e.g., authentication, hosting, security). For example, Google Sign-In is used for authentication. We do not share your personal messages with advertisers.

We share limited data with Google AdMob and related ad networks to deliver and measure ads. We do not sell personal data.

Retention & Deletion

You can delete your account in the app: Profile → Delete Account. Deleting immediately deactivates your account. You may sign in again within 30 days to restore it. After 30 days, your account and personal data are permanently deleted or anonymized, except for minimal records we may retain as required by law or to prevent abuse. Content you sent to others may remain available to those users or be retained/anonymized as permitted by law.

Your Rights & Choices

• Access, correct, or delete your information by using in-app settings or contacting us.
• Request account deletion in-app or follow the instructions here: /delete-account.html.

Children

This app is intended for users 18+. We do not knowingly collect data from minors.

Changes

We may update this Policy. If changes are material, we will provide reasonable notice (e.g., in-app notice).
